One Week To Go!

At this time next week the wedding reception will be in full swing.  So this afternoon, for my break, I took a walk with my camera to see where everything goes.

This is our hot tub.  Next Saturday, it will have a white tablecloth on it (I bought 6 yards of material this afternoon to do the job.  Our show canopy, also white, will be over it, and the wedding cake and all the food will be on it.  The food and cake are being delivered Saturday at 2 PM.  (The weddings at 3 PM.)  By dusk Saturday night, I'm hoping to be in the hot tub, with a lovely libation in one hand!

Here is the arbor.  The willows create a lovely backdrop.  Yes, the wheelbarrow will be gone!  This view is what the wedding party will see as they walk down the aisle which will be created by the chairs that are being delivered Friday morning.  Yes, I own the runner already.  Thanks for allowing me this mental exercise as a checklist!

This  is the part of the yard where the tables and chairs will be for the reception...  well, at least part of it, but it's enough to give you an idea.  This part of the yard is north of the arbor.

These potted flowers will be hung, one on either side of the front of the arbor.

And these potted flowers will be on the ground at either front leg of the arbor.

I have a bunch of big white bows, too...  a couple for the arbor and one for the side of the chair on each side of the aisle  in every row.

The weather report is deteriorating a bit:
Saturday
clear Clear. High of 84F. Breezy. Winds from the South at 10 to 25 mph.

If the wind is really going to be that strong, we're going to be back to this scenario!  Everything, including the bride, would blow away in a 25 MPH wind, so we'd be forced inside.  The good news is that the reliability (remember that teeny, tiny print I mentioned in the last post?) of this weather forecast is fair.

Fingers, toes, legs and eyes are all crossed!

  1. Looks like you have a nice yard for this event! I'm sure it's a lot of work, but how fun you get to do this! 38 feet of hem for the hot tub table cloth! Wow!
